We have developed the hospice navigator with the goal of helping healthcare practitioners to achieve expert level of practice in end of life care. Our clinicians are happy to prepare educational workshops specific to your organizational need.
End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Training
The ELNEC core curriculum was developed and prepared by nurse educators to:
- Provide end of life care education to nurses and clinicians
- Provide information about available resources related to end of life care
- Integrate end of life care content into undergraduate nursing programs
- Provide staff development / continuing education programs for nurses who provide end of life care.
Each module covers an important aspect of end of life care. Modules include:

Many hospice organizations provide clinical tools and education to clinical staff related to scales and tools appropriate for use in hospice care. While some scales are referenced in the local coverage determinations, hospice organizations can further improve clinical team efficiency and documentation of evidence of decline by standardizing and implementing protocols for the use of assessment tools.

Massage Therapy in End of Life Care
- Attend a workshop or request a date for your workshop at your organization.
- This course is intended for healthcare professionals, massage therapists and other licensed healthcare professionals who work with chronically ill and terminal populations.
- Participants learn the skills necessary to effectively treat patients with terminal diseases through lecture, discussion, case presentation and hands-on learning.
- Participants will be introduced to common challenges in performing massage therapy including positioning and bolstering, care of the dying and massage therapy plan development.
- Participants will learn how to utilize massage therapy to assist with pain and symptom management, offer a caring compassionate supportive presence during the last days of life and teach caregivers to use massage therapy effectively and safely.
